BAD NAUHEIM AND THE EUROPEAN ELVIS FESTIVAL

If you can’t be at Graceland for the 50th Anniversary, then join us in Germany. Bad Nauheim is a town
steeped in Elvis history and where the spirit of Elvis can be truly felt, making it the perfect alternative to Memphis.
Our tour coincides with the huge European Elvis Festival, a weekend full of events celebrating Elvis’ incredible life and legacy with fellow fans from around the world. Already becoming a bigger
spectacular every year, 2027 promises to be the biggest yet with a packed-programme of concerts, star guests, dance parties, classic car parades, film shows and much more.
You’ll also get to take our Elvis Travel Service tour of Bad Nauheim, the most comprehensive there is, showing you where Elvis lived,
shopped, socialised and served during his Army tenure. Much of the town is unchanged allowing you to see the very locations that are
familiar from famous Elvis photos as you walk In Elvis’ footsteps in the town he once called home.
Day 1. Thursday 12th August 2027
Flight from London Heathrow direct to Frankfurt where our waiting coach will take us first for a visit to Bad Homburg. We’ll see the
plush hotel which was the first that Elvis stayed in after arriving into Germany with the US Army. Onward then to Bad Nauheim and our hotel – the Dolce, which is the centre of the events of the Elvis
Festival.
Evening at leisure.
Day 2. Friday 13th August
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning’s guided walking tour of Bad Nauheim. We’ll see the many Elvis
sights in the town, mostly unchanged since Elvis lived here. See the house and hotel he lived in, the exact locations from many iconic photos and the fantastic Elvis in Bronze statue.
Along the way you’ll hear stories of Elvis’ time here. This afternoon the Festival will open, and a Festival pass is included in your holiday cost allowing you to partake in many of the activities
and events*.
Days 3 and Day 4. Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th
Breakfast at the hotel. Two full days to use your Festival pass and enjoy the many activities and events of this, the largest weekend Elvis Festival in Europe. The whole town of Bad Nauheimm comes alive with not only Elvis music but Elvis fans from all over the world creating an amazing atmosphere.
You’ll also have time to revisit the sights from the walking tour of the town, join your tour manager for a walk up the Johannisberg Hilltop for spectacular views (or to enjoy coffee and cake) and to visit Friedberg (also included in your holiday cost) where Elvis served at Ray Barracks
Day 5. Monday 16th August
Breakfast at the hotel. The Elvis Festival has an extra day added for the special 50th Anniversary, and we’ll be there to enjoy the additional events that are being based around the theme of Elvis’ gospel music. On this poignant day being in a town that has such close ties to Elvis’ life, plus being there with fellow fans, will make this a very special day.
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to the famous ‘rose village’ of Steinfurth, where Elvis and his platoon moved a War Memorial on behalf of the villagers – an
event that was covered by the local and international press.
Onward then to Frankfurt Airport to join our flight back to the UK, arriving in the late afternoon.

Dolce Hotel
This First Class Art-Deco-styled yet modern hotel is located alongside the Spa Gardens and Park close to the town centre. The hotel complex with its theatre and convention facilities is the main
venue for the Elvis European Festival allowing you to enjoy the event ‘on your doorstep’. The hotel has handsomely furnished rooms (all with private bathroom, cable TV, minibar and hair dryer), a
large restaurant, bar and indoor swimming pool.

Passports and Visas
A passport issued by the UK or a member of the European Union and valid for at least 6
months after the return date of travel for this tour. No Visas (or vaccinations) are required by
British Citizens although it is likely that the European Union will have introduced a Visa Waiver system (similar to that of the USA although probably even easier to obtain) by the time these tours
depart and so we will advise you of any change in requirements in ample time before departure. Holders of other countries Passports should check with the German Embassy with regard to Visa
requirements.

Payment Schedule
A deposit of £350 per person for the tour, is required when you make your booking and the balance needs to be paid a minimum of 12 weeks before departure. Payments can be made by Debit or Credit Card
or by bank transfer.
