The Little Church of the West is an iconic part of Las Vegas history.
Dating back to the 1940's the church was originally part of the famous Last Frontier Hotel (the venue of Elvis' initial Las Vegas debut in 1956).
It was located in two different locations at the Last Frontier, before being carefully moved in 1978 to the Hacienda Hotel. In 1996 when the Hacienda was closed and demolished, the church took one more move to its current location on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Built to replicate an old west mining town church, the building is stunningly rendered in Cedar wood outside, with a California redwood interior. The pews inside are believed to be the original from when it was first opened and the old world charm is finished off with 4 original Victorian lamps that light the church.
Quite befitting its legacy the church is included on the prestigious National Registery of Historic Places (the only such building on the strip to have achieved this accolade - it is also the oldest structure on the strip too).
The church has captured the hearts of all who have visited, and its unique charm has led to many celebrities tying the knot in its beautiful confines. These have included Betty Grable, Judy Garland, David Cassidy, Telly Savalas and Dudley Moore amongst others.
For us Elvis fans though the real magic of the church is it being featured in Elvis' 1964 film 'Viva Las Vegas' where his character, Lucky Jackson, weds Rusty Martin (played by Ann-Margret) in the film's finale.
Strictly Elvis is pleased to offer our Elvis Family the opportunity to use the church to get married in or to renew vowels.
Working alongside the fabulous team at the church we will take care of all arrangements (including travel to Las Vegas) and can also arrange the occasion to be the most special of Elvis experiences by accomodating you at the Westgate Hotel - formerly the Hilton, the scene of Elvis' legendary run of sold-out shows.
